Indigo has always been our primary focus, and for much of the life of the company the only product. Over the years Indigo has become our brand, and we wanted to completely rework our image around it. Thus, Indigo Domotics was born. Domotics is a Latin contraction meaning domestic robotics but more commonly refers to automation technologies that are applied to the home. We thought it a fitting description of what Indigo is and does.

Along with the name change, we've introduced a completely rebranded and reworked website which is our take on a more modern and usable design. We think it presents a much clearer message of what Indigo is and it can do. The website branding extends to our forums and wiki as well so you get a unified presentation across all sites.

We hope you like the new websites and the new branding. If you have any feedback please feel free to use the new contact form on the website.

At the same time that we were rebranding the company and website, we entered into an agreement with the management of MacHomeStore to become The Indigo Store (http://store.indigodomo.com/). It's the same great management and customer service that you've come to expect at MacHomeStore, but with a tighter integration between the two companies.

We also upgraded the store server software used by The Indigo Store which allowed us to modernize the design to match the branding on the other Indigo Domotics websites. Visitors will now experience a consistent look and feel across all web presences that are part of Indigo Domotics, with improved navigation and usability.

Indigo Reflectors (previously known as Prism Reflectors) have been in a free beta period for over 6 years. Along with the redesigned website we will soon begin charging for the bandwidth and support necessary to continue to offer this optional service. We will offer two subscription options (each less than one cup of coffee per month):

  • Monthly Reflector Subscriptions – $2.95 USD, billed monthly until cancelled.
  • Yearly Reflector Subscriptions – $29.95 USD, billed annually until cancelled. Yearly subscriptions represent a 15% savings over the monthly cost.

Beginning on September 1, 2014, all reflectors that don't have an active subscription will be disabled. We'll be sending out an email to all existing reflector customers in the next few weeks with a reminder to create a subscription for their reflector. At that time, we'll have the old Prism website updated so that you can subscribe directly from your existing account.

This is a great time to log into the reflector website and make sure the email on your account is correct (it will show below the reflector list). If it is incorrect, then please use the contact form on our website to let us know what the correct email is and we'll get it changed. We'll have a more automated process for that in the future.

We are excited to announce that we now have 98 plugins available for Indigo which cover a wide range of categories. We have also created a GitHub repository to hold plugin source code for some plugins we've built as well as a few that other developers have contributed. Drop by and check out these useful plugins.

If you're a plugin developer and have some improvements for those plugins, then fork the plugin, make the changes, and issue a pull request. Information is available on our GitHub repository. We also encourage plugin developers who want to open-source their plugins to contact us about hosting their plugin on the repo – it is a convenient single location for users to find open source plugins.

To celebrate The Indigo Store's (formerly MacHomeStore) 10th year serving Indigo users we are offering a 10% Off coupon, which can be used with anything in the store:

     Coupon Code: Domotics2014

The offer expires August 15, 2014, and the coupon code must be entered at checkout time for the discount. The coupon can be used at either The Indigo Store (U.S. and Canada) or The International Indigo Store (worldwide – software only).

In addition to an easier to use and navigate website, The Indigo Store now has a more economical shipping option via USPS Priority Mail, as well as the option to pay via PayPal (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and AmEx are still welcome, of course).

As much as we'd like to provide support and patches for all versions of Indigo, we are now focusing our resources on supporting the latest version and continuing to develop major enhancements. To encourage customers to get the latest version and continued support, we are offering upgrade pricing for Indigo 2.0, 3.0, 4.x and 5.x customers.

Please note support for these older Indigo versions has officially ended:

  • Indigo 5.x support ended on 6/25/2014
  • Indigo 4.x support ended on 7/31/2012
  • Indigo 2.0/3.0 support ended on 12/31/2009
  • Indigo 1.x support ended on 9/30/2009

We will continue to make the downloads for these products available for the foreseeable future, but we will no longer update or support them.
